Why What We Do Works

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, considered one of the gold standards for conditions like anxiety and depression relies upon a clinician or individual's ability to catch and correct negative emotion-causing beliefs and thinking patterns. In fact, the satisfaction rates and effectiveness of therapy depends on how well a clinician can help clients do those two things. We have found through our 8 years of research and practice that this can be easier said than done.

When people say “therapy didn’t help me” what they’re often saying (unknowingly) is that they were unable to identify negative emotion-causing thinking patterns and correct them by themselves or with a therapist.

For different conditions like social anxiety, low self esteem, Clarity provides one-of-a-kind cognitive restructuring solutions for eliminating or dismantling the root cause beliefs and thinking patterns of those conditions. This prepares clinicians to know what to say and do when they encounter these beliefs/thinking patterns/thoughts in the workplace. Non-clinicians struggling with those psychological problems can use the solutions from Clarity to address the root cause by themselves.

Not only do we think our approach is common sense but it’s backed by science. Like we mentioned earlier, a number of experts and leading institutions in clinical psychology consider Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) the gold standard for social anxiety and other mental health conditions. Successful applications of CBT almost always leads to changes in core beliefs and automatic thoughts. These beleifs and thoughts are often the unknown root cause of someone's negative emotions and other mental health challenges.

Changing core belief and automatic thoughts requires cognitive restructuring or a shift in the way one thinks. What causes a shift in one’s thinking? An insight. Clarity is a source of clinically validated insights for the problems we treat like social anxiety, low self-esteem, and insecurities.

Our solutions are backed by the science and clinical results of CBT, The Option Method, Stoicism, and self-compassion.

Fields of work--apart from the Option Method--we've studied to build our clinical expertise: Depth pyschology, jungian psychology, stoicism, Cognitive behavioral therapy, Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT).
