This means that although you may dislike what you’re seeing or experiencing, you aren’t viewing it as a reason to feel anxious or bad in any way. It means you have the stance, “it’s ok” if the event or situation happens. This also means you aren’t viewing the situation as unacceptable–even if you hate what’s going on or what happened.

The psychological skill to be neutral about things is a key requirement to overcoming anxiety.

Being ok or at peace with things you dislike, want to avoid, or hate, does not mean you will be complacent and not want to change or improve things. You can have internal peace while also having a desire to change your circumstances or influence the world. This is the end state you want to achieve.

This way of seeing things is what Stoicism and the Bible advocate for.
