What is the Root cause of anxiety?

Anxiety is the result of evaluating (often unknowingly) an object in the universe (aka a stimulus) as something to be anxious about for one or more reasons. Whenever we make such an evaluation, an anxiety trigger forms. For a more detailed breakdown of the root cause of anxiety, you can read this.

How does one eliminate anxiety?

You must uncover the reasons why you’ve evaluated an anxiety trigger as something to be anxious about. Without absolute clarity on this, it will be difficult to eliminate the trigger. Obtaining this level of clarity will require self-analysis because the anxiety evaluation is in your brain, not someone else’s. A resource for eliminating anxiety triggers is here.

Something that, when encountered, we experience an anxiety response because we’ve evaluated that thing—sometime in the past—as a reason to be anxious about for one or more reasons.

An anxiety disorder is having an excess number of these evaluations that cause one to live in a manner one dislikes. This might result in an individual finding it difficult to pursue their goals or complete tasks they think are essential.
