The key to ensuring you don’t unknowingly create new anxiety triggers is to reach the internal state where you are ok with the fact that you will probably get unexpectedly anxious at times. You can dislike something without feeling bad about it. This means you can dislike being or getting anxious without feeling bad about that undesirable reality.

Before now, you may have viewed being anxious as unacceptable. You may have adopted this mentality to motivate yourself to do everything you can to not be or get anxious. You may think that seeing things as okay means you don’t prefer to avoid what you don’t want to happen. This, however, isn’t true. You can be ok with something while knowing you don’t want it to happen.

Summary: Eliminating anxiety is a journey and it’ll be an imperfect journey because no human is perfect.
